Plenty of eats, drinks, activities and treasures!

WWII P-40e Kittyhawk & SBD Dauntless

 

The B-17 Alliance Foundation is very excited to announce that the Madras, Oregon-based Erickson Aircraft Collections’ WWII P-40e Kittyhawk and SBD Dauntless will headline the 5th Annual B-17 Alliance Foundation Fly-In Fundraiser.

 

The Erickson Aircraft Collection (formerly located at the historic Tillamook Air Museum in Tillamook, Oregon) based in Madras, Oregon displays a vintage WWII aircraft collection started by Jack Erickson in 1983. The collection features over twenty plus warbirds, most of which are still in flying condition. Click here for Flying Schedule!

 

WARBIRD RIDE Drawings Each Day

Get your tickets for the Warbird Ride drawing when you arrive at the Fly-In. Each day a drawing will be held. Winners will be treated immediately to a ride in one of the beautifully maintained historical aircraft. Winners must be present to win and flight will take place immediately following the drawings. 2018 Vintage Air Rally Race-Team

Kyle Bushman's 1943 N3N “Old-Glory”

Featured on display at the 5th Annual Fly-In will be Ragwood Refactory owner Kyle Bushman’s 1943 Navy N3N “Old Glory," Ken Schmitt’s Pacific combat veteran 1945 L-4 Grasshopper, Jan Johnson’s 1945 Vultee Stinson L-5G Ambulance & many more WWII Aircraft.  The Fly-In will be the last public viewing of “Old Glory” prior to departing to South America in mid-August 2018. Selected in 2017 from over 800 rally applicants Kyle Bushman & teammate Bryan Harper are among the rare pilots of the 15 competing rally teams in the Vintage Air Rally Race Ushuaia2USA scheduled for November 2018 spanning South America. 15 Teams, 44 days, 9200 miles – the Rally is on!

WWII Living History Encampment

What Was it Like?

 

Come experience life in the military from a time when “The Greatest Generation” was sacrificing for our freedom. Walk through the camp and learn about daily life in a WWII camp when soldiers were stationed in the field with their equipment, and supplies.

Beautifully restored military vehicles from throughout our country’s history are on display with the Living History Encampment. Come explore their stories as you talk to the men and women who maintain and share these operational pieces of American History.

Aviation Themed Rat Rods from the Famous Gary Fisher, of Hood River

Flying at Ground Level!

 

What could be better than a mix of hot rods and flying machines? Come see the cool combination of both; hotrods designed by one of Oregon’s premiere car designers.

 

Gary will have his aviation themed machines on display for you to enjoy.

FABULOUS 40's Hangar Dance

Friday Night August 3rd

 

5:30pm - 8:30pm

*Gate Admission applies*

 

Come dressed in 40s attire, if you choose, and dance to the big band sounds. Enjoy the music of the era as you dance in the hangar where the Lacey Lady B-17 Flying Fortress is being restored to flying condition.
